XPEL XR is a premium nano-ceramic window film that blocks up to 88% of infrared heat and 99% of UV rays without using metal — so your GPS, mobile signal, tolls and driver-assist radar all keep working. It's backed by XPEL's transferable lifetime warranty and made in the USA.
NSW law requires the driver and front-passenger windows to allow at least 35% VLT (visible light transmission). Rear side windows and the rear windscreen on passenger vehicles can go as dark as 20% VLT. Windscreens can only carry a shade band no lower than the top of the wiper sweep. We walk you through legal options over the phone so you're never at risk of a defect notice.
Our featured XPEL XR Ceramic package starts at $550 for a sedan (all side and rear windows). Larger vehicles — SUVs, utes, 4WDs and vans — are priced per quote based on glass area. Sun strips along the top of the windscreen are available as an add-on. All prices include GST.
Most full-car tints take 3–4 hours in the workshop. We recommend leaving your car with us for the full day so we can give the film the time it needs to sit properly before you drive off.
Keep the windows up for at least 3–5 days after install. The film needs time to fully bond to the glass and for any curing moisture to evaporate. We'll go through this face-to-face when we hand your keys back — especially what to do in the first 48 hours.
No. XPEL XR is applied to the inside of the glass over the top of the defroster grid without cutting or touching the lines. We inspect defrosters before we start and note any pre-existing damage.
No — XPEL XR is 100% metal-free. Unlike older metallised films, it does not block or interfere with GPS, mobile signal, radio, e-tag tolls, keyless entry, or driver-assistance radar and cameras.
We only offer a sun strip along the top of the windscreen — a band of XPEL XR that finishes at the top of the wiper sweep, which is the only windscreen tint permitted under NSW road rules. We do not tint full windscreens.
Every XPEL XR install comes with XPEL's transferable lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, delamination, cracking and colour change. The warranty transfers with the vehicle if you sell.
Our workshop is at 16/61 Ashford Avenue, Milperra NSW 2214. Drop-off and pick-up are by appointment — indoor bays, secure premises, and no wandering around a car park while your job is on the go.
